Obituary for Elvin Lee Niesen

Elvin Lee  Niesen
Elvin Lee Niesen, 83, of Bruceville, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016. Visitation with viewing will be 6 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive. A memorial service will be, 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15, at Mooreville Methodist Church, FM 2643, Chilton, with Pastor Lynn Starnes officiating.
Lee was born May 31, 1933, in Cego, TX, Falls County, to John Niesen and Rosa Emma Niesen. He attended Bruceville-Eddy H.S., after which he enlisted into the US Marine Corps in 1954. Lee was stationed in San Diego for four years. He stayed in California working at Van Nuys Airport in the Beechcraft Services Airport. He studied on the G.I. Education Bill. He worked for the Simi Valley ISD for 15 years before moving to Houston, TX, in 1978. There he worked 20 years for the Aldine School District as Warehouse Director and over the care of Library services.
Lee married Flora Alice Styck; from this union they had two sons, Channing Niesen and Lance Niesen. In 1978, Lee married Georgia (Frann) Frances Miranda Haworth. Frann had three children; daughter Kathleen Ann, and two sons, David I. and Michael Lee Haworth.
After retirement from Aldine ISD, the family moved to Bruceville, Texas, where Lee lived until his passing.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, John Niesen; his mother, Rosa E. Niesen; and many aunts and uncles.
Lee is survived by his wife, Georgia Frances Niesen, of Bruceville; his sons, Channing Niesen and wife LaVita, and Lance Niesen; Frann’s children, Kathleen Canuteson, of Exter, CA., David I. Haworth and wife Anne, of Moor Park, CA., and Michael L. Haworth and wife Beth, of Colorado Springs, CO; his brother Robert Niesen and wife Sammie R. of Fort Sumner, NM; grandchildren, Keith Niesen , of CA, Ashley and Amber Niesen of, AZ, Hannah Lee and Sarah Niesen, of AZ, Jacob and wife Alena, of OK, Tiana Michelle Haworth, of CA, Miranda Franks and husband Arron, Sasha Jayewardene, Clare Haworth, of CA, Patrick Medicus, Christopher, Andrew and Brad Haworth, of CO; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Niesen, of CA, Charley Faye, of OK, and Autumn Niesen, of AZ, Chevelle Haworth, of CA, Degan and Emma Franks, of AZ; niece Vickie and husband Jamel, nephews Jody and wife Faye Niesen, of NM, and Barry and wife Jina Niesen, of CA; great-nephews, Sam, Kasey, of TX, and Ben of CA.
