Josephine Hester (Latham)
Josephine Latham Hester, 90, of Waco, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, July 13th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Pastor Myrtle Penny officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Chilton Cemetery.
Josephine was born on October 21, 1926 in Whitehall, Texas to Charley Wesley and Abbie Nancy Martin Latham. Growing up, her family lived in numerous places across the country. Josephine met and married Calvin Hester, making their home in Waco. She spent her life as a mother and homemaker. Josephine was in retail sales for a little while and worked in a factory briefly. She loved being Grandma Hester and spending her time with family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Abbie Latham; daughter, Twila Davis; grandson, Ryan Matthew Davis; brothers, Wesley, Edward, Darrell, Charles, Lloyd, James and Homer Latham; and sister, Willie Fay Latham Combs.
Josephine is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Lee Hester; son, David Lee Hester and wife Cindy; grandson, Shane Michael Davis and wife Shannon; granddaughters, Sarah Hester Robison and husband Daniel, Anne Hester Cates and husband Jacob; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert and Richard Latham; sister, Nellie Joy Blanchard; many nieces and nephews; many friends; along with special friend, Julie.
